I sure am having a great time here and thanks everyone that helped me to find Lori. It was a long ride home and once here I made myself comfortable by taking a nap on the bed. 5/23/22: Six week old puppy fellow. We were living out in the county with no fence and a free feeder that we ate from whenever we wanted. If you are interested in giving me a home you might want to read up on tips to help me acclimate. Everyone that meets me loves me and I just need a chance. Right away we were each given our very own bowl of food and some fresh water. It is going to be just us girls here and we are going to do everything together. The best part is Im not afraid of the vacuum, fireworks or thunder. She is an older woman at 1 and showing me the ropes here. What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus Now Im working on being Mike and Rachels new lapdog and learning house manners. It would be very helpful to have another dog to follow and take my cues from. This rescue hasn't posted any pets that match these criteria. We went outside for a rousing game of ball then took a long nap. I have great house manners and enjoy going for walks which I really need. 5/5/22: Pam has decided to give me a home to live out my senior years. My blaze goes right down the center of my head. PetBasics, breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal Im doing pretty good with the housetraining although I have had a few accidents. It can be embarrassing to pee your pants and have accidents. I want to thank the lifesaving folks that me in even though they knew they could not keep me. After going for a walk and meeting the neighbors we settled right in just as if we had always lived here. 4/23/22: I am so lucky to have found the Catos and they have a lot of experience with shy dogs. 7/16/22: Going home with Mark today and I will be his 3rd adoption from CRC. I do think he may be a bit of a photo hog though. I was picked up by the animal control as a stray and nobody came to claim me thank goodness. My teeth were snaggledand you could smell his breath across the room. I was caked with dead skin, dirt and feces. 6/20/22: Nine month old female very underweight. 5/28/22: Went home with Miss Julie today and have met my new pal Freya. Can you believe they let me sleep in the bed? We are very sweet and affectionate fellows. The seniors are like puppies without all the bad habits and always doing things to make you laugh. 4/2/22: I have really hit the good life and have joined the Fowler Family. She is a veterinarian and knows how to take care of an older fellow like me. 6/9/22: Today I joined the Lockamy family and excited to be part of a family. So far they know I am a bit shy and need lots of loving. 6/7/22: I am a typical one year old collie girl learning some basic commands here at the rescue. 4/3/22: I have found my new folks and going home with the Marshinas and Ella today. 7/3/22: My babies have all gone to their homes and Im ready for mine. whose support makes our life-saving work possible. My people are getting a divorce and we all went our separate ways. 11/13/21: They say some things are just meant to be and that is exactly what happened for us. If you are looking for a fellow with a lot of personality that would be me. We are learning to use the potty pads and have mastered sit. We are going to do so many things together and I will get lots of attention. My evaluation is in progress. We have been going for walks together and Terry is taking such good care of me. 4/10/22: They are here! 2/27/22: My name is Kinley, a 2 year old collie or sheltie mix at 38 pounds. 1/1/22: I am happy to be the first adoption of 2022. Ron and Marianne were visiting at the rescue the day we arrived. I am housetrained and that never was a problem and crate trained. I enjoy playing with the other dogs if they dont get to rough and the cats dont bother me. Thanks everyone for helping me. This is going to be great and thanks everyone that helped me to find them and even the ones that gave me that bath. This is going to be the perfect home for me and so happy to have found the Wheelwrights. I am joining the Johnson Family, and this is my new pal Schnitzel. We are looking for a home where we can stay together and someone will love both of us during our senior years. My evaluation is in progress as the folks get to know me. The folks are working a little each day to get the mats out of my coat and then I will go for a much needed bath. 11/1/21: Our owner unexpectedly passed away, then they cleaned out our house and we came to the rescue. I will be going to the vet soon for a much needed bath and an update on my vaccinations. Im very quiet, not a barker, housetrained, crate trained and working on basic commands. I will get so much attention and all the petting I want. Im going to be just fine with her. 6/25/22: Here I am with my new family, The Shobers. I get along great with the other dogs and learning basic obedience commands. A healthy fellow and up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm preventative. Both are bacterial illness that develops in dogs when bitten by an infected tick. I know I am going to be very happy here and excited to start my new life. We want to thank everyone who helped us on our way to a better life as we grow up. I am great on leash walking and enjoy a good game of fetch. Here is a picture of mom and the collie is my dad. Thanks everyone for helping me to find this wonderful family. Joan wanted a calm, gentle, loving girl and I I wanted the same thing. Yet When we come in I take a long nap on the couch. They helped us get settled in with giving us lots of pets and making us comfortable. My evaluation is in progress as the folks get to know me. We are the sweetest dogs, not barkers and very smart. I get along great with all the other dogs and the cats are ok but will chase them if they run. Although planning to adopt only one collie it was impossible to pick after seeing the way the three of us clicked together. This is my new pal Trevor, and he will show me the ropes. I am so happy to be the new member of the Carter family. I have had no problem with the housetraining and also crate trained. you think! I will soon be going to the vet for a bath and my spay. We have been neutered since coming to rescue, updated on vaccinations and heartworm negative. When I went to the vet for my spay it was determined Im going to have puppies real soon. This is definitely the good life and Im going to love it here. I am 8 years old and about 50 pounds. He has let me know I have found a wonderful and will be very well cared for here. My person put me for sell on a website and the collie rescue quickly took me in. I was a very good boy on the ride but mostly slept. I am 5 years old and weigh about 80 pounds. pounds. 3/27/22: Hi folks, I am a nine month old, tri, smooth collie fellow at about 50 pounds. After arriving home I explored the entire house and yard. He was also adopted from CRC and has let me know this is a very good place to live. Im sure you noticed I have a blue eye and I can see fine out of it. We get along fine with the other dogs and the cats are ok with us also. I have been very much loved and well cared for over the years. 3/20/22: I am at the rescue because my person had a medical emergency. I am a great guy that is good with other dogs big and small, good with kids of all ages and the cat doesnt bother me. I do great on the leash and will hop right in the car for a ride. I do not jump on people but do pull a little on the leash. 7/4/22: I have made the long trip to Michigan and joined the Rouwhorst Family. We would really like to stay together because we get along great and love each other. We all wanted that toy but I was the only one with the courage to brave that splash pad and get it. I like the kitties but really would like to chase them. 12/28/21: Dad and I are on a long trip to my new home. I have my very own dog bed here and you can see I am loving it. Im a very smart fellow and learn really quick. I am good with children, the other dogs and all humans. We go for walks every day where we meet other doggies on the trails. I did test positive for lyme disease because of all the ticks and now on antibiotics to clear that up. My coat wasnt in very good shape but is starting to grow out now. The next day they called the rescue to say they would like us to come live out our senior years with them. My folks decided to let me come to the collie rescue so I can find a home where I can live indoors again which I really prefer. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. I have met Lilly the collie who would like me to play with her but she has figured out that isnt going to happen. 10/24/21: I have been to the vet for a bath, vaccinations and neuter. I am crate trained, housetrained and learning basic commands. However unfortunate circumstances bring me to collie rescue to find a new home. It is hardly ever that we have a dispute between us and we are always looking for the other one. I was tired of my leg hurting all the time and having to wear bandages. We are housetrained and pretty in the house except one of us sometimes likes to steal things off the counter. I get along with most other dog but since the cat scratched me I dont like them anymore. Merlin is already inviting me to play, and Honeybee has given her approval for me to join the pack. I have been debarked and make a huffing sounds when I try to bark. 3/6/22: We came into rescue as a family. 4/4/22: Can you guess what is going to happen here? I am their second adoption from CRC and know I will be in the best of hands. Animal control decided to take me in and called the collie rescue. Miss Loreen has taken me home with her to whelp my puppies and it is much quieter here. I know what I am doing and will keep everyone posted on the progress. I get lots of petting and attention here which I have been without for a long time. 5/2/22: I am a 5-month-old, sable and white collie fellow that is learning so many new things. I am crate trained and housetrained and never a problem. I am at the rescue because my person unexpectedly has to take care of family members. Vala 13 (white) and Minnie 10 (sable). Im a very gentle easy going kind of guy. Im good with the other dogs except I can sometimes be a bully and would need a dog that will put me in my place. She has another smoothie fellow just like me that was also adopted from CRC. Animal control decided to take me in and called the collie rescue. I do not have any of the husky traits like escaping. I have a lot of personality, one of the happiest guys you will ever meet and absolutely love life. We were all covered in fleas and ticks, matted, dirty and didnt smell very good.
